  • In a mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.

Steps on how to Air Fry broccoli

The broccoli will turn out slightly crispy, but also a bit tender (cooked through) from the inside.

Depending on the size of your florets, it might take a bit longer or shorter to cook so keep checking after 10 minutes of cooking.

More Seasoning Ideas

You can use any seasonings that you like, below are my favorites:

  • Crushed chili flakes
  • Garlic granules, or onion granules
  • Cajun seasoning
  • Italian herb blend
  • Sesame oil, sesame seeds, and chili flakes

Or you could lightly drizzle the broccoli with balsamic vinegar, a sprinkle of lemon zest, and parmesan cheese after air frying.

Can I Use Frozen Broccoli to Cook in the Air Fryer?

You can easily cook frozen broccoli in the air fryer. However, you need to increase the cooking time to allow the frozen broccoli to defrost while cooking (20 to 25 minutes).

How to Store Air Fryer Broccoli?

If you get leftovers, then store in the fridge in an airtight container for up to 2 days. However, the broccoli won’t be as crispy once they’re refrigerated.

To reheat, put in the air fryer and air fry for 5-7 minutes or until warmed up.

What to Serve Air Fryer Broccoli With?

It goes well with any dish. It matches the same dishes as broccoli that you cook using any other method, except that following this recipe makes broccoli taste better and crispier.

I usually serve it with pasta, mashed potatoes, quinoa, mashed sweet potatoes or add it to salads. You can also have it for breakfast, by adding it to an omelette or quiche.

How long do you cook chicken tenders on the grill?

Cook chicken tenders for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they turn out golden brown and are cooked through. The internal temperature of the thickest part of the chicken should register at 165°F (75°C) when it’s ready.

How do you keep chicken tenders from drying out on the grill?

Cook chicken at room temperature and allow it to thaw completely if it was frozen. Also, do not overcook it; about 3 – 4 minutes of grilling on each side should be enough. And make sure that the grill is at the right temperature (between 370°F/187°C and 400°F/204°C). This prevents it from drying out on the grill.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 pound (450 grams)  broccoli cut into florets
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon chili flakes optional

Instructions

  • Wash the broccoli head, and cut into florets.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, pepper, and chili flakes.
  • Add to the Air Fryer basket, and cook at 390°F (200°C) for 15 minutes flipping at least twice while cooking.
  • Serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • You don’t need to preheat the air fryer.
  • Make sure that you flip (shake) the air fryer basket at least twice when cooking.
  • Add any other seasonings that you like. And adjust the amount of salt to your preference.
  • The size of the broccoli will shrink as it cooks, so if you think that the air fryer basket is crowded at first then that’s totally fine.
