5clovesgarlicminced
1teaspoonground ginger
2tablespoonsgaram masala
½cuptomato paste
½cupchicken broth
3tablespoonsbutter
½cupheavy whipping cream

Instructions
In a 6-quart slow cooker, add the chicken pieces, diced onion, minced garlic, grated ginger, garam masala, tomato paste, chicken broth, and butter. Stir to ensure all ingredients are well combined and the chicken is evenly coated with the spices and tomato paste.
Cover the slow cooker with the lid and cook on the low setting for 6 hours or on the high setting for 4 hours. This allows the chicken to become tender.
About 15 minutes before the cooking time is complete, remove the lid and stir in the heavy cream. Make sure the cream is thoroughly mixed into the sauce, creating a rich and creamy consistency.
Replace the lid and let the mixture heat through for the remaining cooking time.
Once the cooking time is up, give the butter chicken a final stir to ensure everything is well combined.
Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro for a burst of color and added freshness.
Serve the butter chicken over a bed of hot cooked rice or with warm naan bread on the side.
