Air Fryer chicken wings are extra crispy and delicious from the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. Quick and very easy to make in the Air Fryer!
Ingredients
1 lb(450 grams)chicken wingsseparated into flats and drumettes
1tablespoonolive oil
1teaspoongarlic powder
¾teaspoonsalt
¼teaspoonground black pepper
Instructions
Start by pat drying the chicken wings completely with paper towel to get super crispy wings. Then toss with little olive oil.
Season the chicken wings with garlic powder, salt, and pepper and put them in the Air Fryer basket spacing them evenly to get crispy wings.
Insert the Air Fryer basket and cook for 16 minutes at 395°F (200°C) shaking the basket at least twice so that the wings cook evenly.
The cooking time depends on the size of the wings. So start with 16 minutes. And if the 1lb contains less than 10 wings, you'll probably need to add a couple of minutes more to render the fat and cook the wings all the way through till they are crispy golden brown. Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Make sure not to overcrowd the Air Fryer basket with chicken wings and to space them evenly. This allows the wings to get crispy golden brown.
To double the batch, use a double rack (if you have one). Increase the cooking time to 18-22 minutes or until the wings are crispy golden brown, flipping them halfway. Alternatively, work in batches.
If using frozen wings, increase the cooking time by 5 minutes. If the wings are stuck together since they're frozen, that's totally fine and they will separate as they cook. Don't forget to shake the basket at least twice so that they cook evenly.
To reheat chicken wings, put them in the air fryer basket, and reheat at 395°F/200°C for 5 minutes or until they're heated through.
